By ferry from Portsmouth to Fishbourne, we begin with a drive over Brading Down to Shanklin with its old village and Chine with free time to browse and obtain lunch. We rejoin the coach for a scenic drive passing through Godshill and then along the coast to Freshwater Bay and Yarmouth, pausing for refreshments along the way before boarding the return ferry to Lymington.
A traditional trip to the seaside, visiting the historic town of Hastings. Explore the attractive promenade, quirky shops and welcoming inns of the old town or take a journey on the cliff railway to visit the ruins of Hastings Castle.
Following time in the charming market town of Hungerford, home to unique boutiques and cheery tea rooms. Later in the day we head to Kintbury, for a leisurely afternoon horse-drawn cruise along the Kennet and Avon Canal with a cream tea served along the way.

We start with a visit to Birling Gap, where the South Downs meet the sea. It’s part of the world-famous Seven Sisters chalk cliffs, one of the longest stretches of undeveloped coastline on the south coast. We continue to the elegant seaside town of Eastbourne, to enjoy a stroll along the pier, visit the Victorian tearooms and browse through the Arndale Shopping Centre.
A day trip to the ever-popular resort of Bournemouth, a fantastic seaside destination that boasts beautiful parks and gardens, a vast array of shops and restaurants and of course magnificent sandy beaches, promenade walks and an iconic pier.
We visit the Wye Valley village of Tintern and enjoy a tasty 2-course buffet lunch at the award-winning Abbey Mill located on the banks of the River Wye. From Tintern we follow the river north to Symonds Yat, from where we take a relaxing cruise through the Symonds Yat Gorge. Before heading home, we visit the charming 16th century Old Court Hotel for tea/coffee and biscuits.
Enjoy a day beside the seaside in East Sussex. Our Coastal excursions begin in the tranquil seaside town of Bexhill-on-Sea, with its level promenade, gently sloping beach, Victorian and Edwardian architecture, and selection of independent shops. This afternoon we visit Hastings ‘Old Town,’ a charming mix of half-timbered houses, narrow streets, and passageways.
We travel to the New Forest and the Georgian town of Lymington which hosts its ever-popular weekly charter market. In the afternoon we enjoy a short scenic drive through the New Forest National Park, pausing for a tasty cream tea before heading back to the local area.
A trip to the Sussex coast and regency Brighton, with its seafront promenade, central Pier and Lanes shopping area and restaurants. A day at the seaside is not complete without a visit to Brighton Pier, with its food and drink options and deckchairs in which to relax and enjoy the views.
Surrounded by stunning countryside, our first stop is Witney the largest market town in the Cotswolds, offering a unique blend of shops, antique centres, and cafes, including the recently restored Blanket Hall and Pie Shop. In the afternoon we make a stop in Stow-on-the-Wold, the highest town in the Cotswolds with the medieval market stocks at one end, the ancient market cross at the other and the impressive St Edwards Hall standing in the centre of the Market Square

The traditional seaside town of Margate, known for its sandy beaches, The Shell Grotto and Turner Contemporary art gallery, or Broadstairs where you will find fishermen’s cottages, clifftop walks and independent shops lining original Victorian streets and alleyways. The town was Charles Dickens’ favourite holiday spot, and his legacy includes the Dickens House Museum.
We travel to Dorset and visit one of the Uk’s most popular seaside resorts, with beautiful golden sands and safe shallow waters. Just steps away from the beach is the quaint, colourful harbourside offering gift shops, alfresco dining, crabbing, antique emporiums and award-winning fish and chips.
We travel to the Somerset seaside town of Minehead where we allow free time to wander along the tree-lined Avenue, with its range of independent shops located within a Victorian-style setting. Or relax on the beach or explore the fishing quarter and an historic harbour. Late afternoon we board the longest standard gauge independent heritage railway in the United Kingdom to Bishops Lydiard, where we re-join our coach for our homeward journey
We venture east to the glorious Kent coast and visit Whitstable, a town with a rich maritime history. Indulge in fresh seafood, view the working harbour, and explore the independent shops. A short distance along the coast is the classic resort of Herne Bay, with its charming streets, range of eateries and awardwinning beaches.
The Tower of London will mark the anniversary of the end of World War Two with a display of ceramic poppies installed in the heart of the attraction. 30,000 ceramic poppies from the original display, on loan from Imperial War Museums’ collection will sit along the venue’s walls and pour across the lawn overlooked by the White Tower, where the flowers will form a crater, with ripples flowing outwards. Admission ticket gives access to all attractions including the Crown Jewels.
The attractive Saxon walled town of Wareham lies between the rivers Frome and Piddle and has been a market town for over five hundred years. Our time in this pretty town will be for relaxation on the quayside, refreshments in one of the eateries and a browse through the unique shops, before arriving in the popular resort of Swanage, known for its interesting shops, cosy tea rooms, Victorian pier, and golden sandy beach.
To Portsmouth and Southsea seafront to take the country’s only scheduled hovercraft service running for over 50 years to the Isle of Wight, giving you around 5 hours to enjoy this holiday destination either by bus from Ryde esplanade around the islands towns and villages, or by Island line train from Ryde Pier to Sandown or Shanklin……………Don’t forget your bus pass.
If you have seen the BBC's award-winning TV series Gavin & Stacey, you will be familiar with the ‘tidy’ seaside vibes of Barry, backdrop to many of the iconic scenes. But you do not need to be a fan to enjoy the town's attractions. Right at the front of Barry Island, Whitmore Bay is a huge crescent of golden sand. Step aboard the World’s last seagoing paddle steamer, the magnificent Waverley, for an afternoon cruise steaming round St Alban’s Head and along Dorset’s breathtaking Jurassic Coast to view the famous Lulworth Cove. Your cruise starts and finishes from the pier in Swanage. There will be time in the seaside town to enjoy a leisurely lunch before joining Waverley.

Starting the day with a short comfort stop at a garden centre before continuing to Hayling Island and Warner’s Lakeside. We begin with a short visit to Polhill Garden Centre with time for refreshments before continuing to Crossness Pumping Station for a guided tour. The Victorians recognised that they should probably get their act together and produce a plan to de-stink the city. In April 1865, the cathedral of sewage was fully functional, and a frankly stunning, sewage station until its closure in the 1950s. Tea/coffee and biscuits on arrival.
Autumn is a wonderful time to see the colours in this informal landscape garden, laid out in the 18th century by Capability Brown. It is designed around a series of lakes, with meandering paths around the lakes, through glades, woodland and over bridges. Sit and relax in the tearoom situated in the Victorian stable block

Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare, hosts the Victorian Christmas Market in the town centre. The atmosphere is unique as all stallholders wear Victorian outfits. Entertainment throughout the town, includes a stage with lots of performances in Henley Street, a traditional funfair with a carousel, and beautifully decorated market stalls along Waterside, Bridge Street, Henley Street, Meer Street, and High Street sell foods and drinks and holiday presents for loved ones.
